LAST UPDATED AUGUST 2026
Dolly is in pre-launch. This document describes how the product works today and will be reviewed before general availability. If anything here matters to a decision you’re making, ask us and we’ll answer specifically.
Which half of this applies to you
The only thing this website can do is take a waitlist signup, so if you are reading this as a visitor, “The waitlist” below is the whole of what concerns you.
Everything after it describes how Dolly handles data once a distributor is using the product. Nobody can sign up to the product yet. It is published now so you can read it before you talk to us, not because any of it currently applies to you.
The waitlist
Your email address, and your company name if you choose to give it. Those are the only two fields on the form.
- What we do with it. Email you when Dolly opens, and nothing else. We record when you signed up and which version of that promise you agreed to.
- Who else sees it. Cloudflare, which serves this site and runs the bot check on the form, and Resend, which stores the list and sends the mail. Nobody else.
- Getting off it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link. To be deleted outright rather than unsubscribed, email [email protected] and we will remove the record.
We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
The product — who it covers
Dolly is software sold to food distributors. Two different groups have information in the system, and the distinction matters throughout the rest of this page:
- Our customers — the distributor businesses that subscribe, and their staff who sign in.
- Their customers — the venues and businesses those distributors sell to. We hold that information on the distributor’s behalf, and they decide what happens to it.
The product — what it collects
- Account information. Name, email address and sign-in credentials for staff accounts, handled by our authentication provider.
- Business records you enter. Products, pricing, customers, orders, stock batches, deliveries, temperature readings and related operational data.
- Billing information. Subscription status and plan. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor and never reach our servers.
- Audit records. Who changed what, and when. These are deliberately retained — traceability is the point of the product.
The product — who else processes it
Dolly runs on third-party services, each doing one job. We share only what that job needs:
- Authentication and account management
- Subscription billing and payments
- Transactional email and SMS notifications
- Address geocoding and delivery route planning
- File and document storage
- Accounting sync, where a customer chooses to connect their accounting system
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Ask us and we’ll name the specific providers and where they operate.
The product — how it is separated
Each subscribing business’s data is scoped to that business and enforced in the data layer rather than left to individual queries. Businesses on our top plan may run their own database cluster, in which case their operational data never sits in shared storage at all.
The product — getting it back, and getting it deleted
A subscribing business can export its data and can ask us to delete it. Where we hold information on a distributor’s behalf, requests from that distributor’s own customers should go to the distributor — they control that record, not us — and we will support them in responding.
To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, email [email protected].
